Jon, our Minister in Training, has lived in Ashley since 1997. After growing up in the area he studied Philosophy at the University of Winchester before becoming an intern at Christ Church Winchester and completing a post-grad diploma in Theology with WTC. He worked in education for five years and then for the charity Hope Now. Jon is married to Rachel and loves adventure, Marvel, space and flapjack.
Children’s and Youth Pastor
Our Children’s and Youth Pastor is originally from Warrington, and studied drama at Edge Hill University. In January 2013 Rachel moved to the South Coast in to start her role as Children's and Youth Pastor at ABC. Since then Rachel has met and married her husband Jon and they now have a daughter, Amelia. In her spare time she loves being with family, spending time at the beach and going for walks in the forest!
OurChurch Administrator grew up in New Malden, in Surrey but moved to the New Forest in 2007. She worked for IBM for many years and has many years working in an office environment.
Pearl was born in South London and brought up in a Christian home within The Salvation Army. Baptised in 1967, she became a member of Balham Baptist Church in the November of that year. Pearl worked in a Bank prior to the birth of her sons and then became a stay at home Mum although she continued to work in the Sunday School and Boys’ Brigade until they moved from London in 1993 where they worshipped in a local Church of England. Pearl moved to Highcliffe in 2014 with her husband. They have 12 grandchildren and they enjoy spending as much time as possible with them.
Our Church Treasurer, has had many years in Christian service. His main areas of Christian service and responsibility have been as a deacon and pastoral carer for Union Church in Hunstanton. Along with his wife Ali, he joined BMS training in Birmingham for a year, Attended Les Cedres Christian Language School in France for nine months language training, then to DR Congo for a year supporting the CBFC (Baptist Church on the River Congo). On their return to the UK, Vic Jackopson asked him to join Hope Now where he was the office manager for six years and on Vic’s retirement in 2010 Jon took over as CEO until he retired in April 2018, where he now continues in a voluntary leadership role.
