Badminton

ABC Badminton Group is a friendly, informal group focused on enjoying a relaxed evening of badminton, whether you’re a confident player or just giving it a go. Our emphasis is on having fun, being welcoming, and enjoying the game together.

There’s no dress code, so you can come along in whatever you’re comfortable in, as long as your footwear has non‑marking soles. We usually play doubles and mix the pairs around after each game, which keeps things sociable and gives everyone a chance to play with different people. If you have never played and would like to give it a go we even have racquets you can borrow to try.

There’s no formal charge to attend. Instead, we put out a small donation pot, with a suggested contribution of £1 or more, to help cover costs of equipment, lighting and heating.

We meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm to 9:30pm, and there’s no pressure to stay for the whole session. Feel free to arrive when it suits you, leave early, or stay for the full evening, it’s entirely up to you.

Whether you’re new to badminton, getting back into it, or just looking for a friendly group to play with, you’ll be very welcome to join us.
